Who We Work With
Artistic Director and Founder
Cas is an Actress and Producer from Surrey. She read English and Drama at Sussex University and Drama Studio London. Producing includes: Soliman and Perseda, More Light (Trifle Productions: Rose, Bankside), Much Ado About Nothing (Rose and Crown) and Safer (Tristan Bates Theatre), A Scent of Flowers, The Cherry Orchard (DogOrange: Brockley Jack) Bite-Size Plays (London, Brighton and Edinburgh). She co created and produced outdoor summer company Permanently Bard (Twelfth Night at the Rose and Crown and Rose Bankside). She was awarded Arts Council funding for a Research and Development project Leaper: A Fish Tale with Hal Chambers at Tucked In Productions. Recent projects include: West End Transfer of Lovesong of the Electric Bear which won three Off West End Awards and Associate Producer on Steel Magnolias, Assistant on Brimstone and Treacle (The Hope Theatre) which has just won a Break a Leg Award for Best Production.

She is also a drama practitioner at The Rose Theatre and teaches LAMDA exams. She worked for Ambassador Theatre Group in Marketing and for Film Producer Norma Heyman (The Thirteenth Tale, Mrs Henderson Presents).
Associate Writer/ Director
James Stone is a freelance writer and director, based in Sheffield, UK.
In April 2018, James’ first original long-form play, Paradise Road was produced by Tales Retold at Sheffield’s Library and he directed Offie nominated Uncle Vanya at the Hope Theatre in April 2019.
Matthew is a freelance theatre director and award winning Artistic Director of The Hope Theatre, Islington. He trained on the Postgraduate Directing Course at Drama Studio London. He has worked with Cas since 2013 and directed 5 star Antigone at the Hope Theatre in 2016.
Laura trained at Bretton Hall (University of Leeds), gaining a BA (Hons) in Dramaturgy. During this time, she worked as a Research/Production Dramaturg on varied projects including A Woman of No Importance and Eclipsed. Further training after university includes The Young Playwrights Course at the Royal Court Theatre, two years as a script reader for the Windsor Fringe Writing Festival and placements include stage/company management with the English Touring Theatre, Nick Brooke Ltd, and Theatre Royal Bath, Ambassadors Theatre Group.
Alice Kornitzer is an Offie Nominated Director and Dramaturge – educated at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, and Bristol University, she began working at the Berliner Ensemble as both an actor and musician at a young age and toured Europe extensively.
She has worked as the assistant director for Inside Intelligence’s productions of Brendan Cowell’s Happy New, Trafalgar Studios and Fermin Cabal’s Tejas Verdes, St. John’s, Edinburgh Fringe 2013.
Other theatre credits include: Ibsen’s Peer Gynt (Berliner Ensemble), Wallace Shawn’s The Fever (Berlin, Germany), Yasmina Reza’s God of Carnage (Linz, Austria), Jules Horne’s Allotment (Edinburgh Fringe First winner 2011), Christopher O’Shaughnessy’s The Ruth Ellis Show (Goldsmith’s University, London, UK), Eleanor Appleton’s The Terrace (NOC@Nooks, London, UK).
Most recently she has directed the memoir adaptation of the bestseller The Accidental Caregiver by Gregor Collins at the Robert Moss Theater in New York, US. A revival for this is in planning for Summer 2016. Alice is currently in development on Callum Crouch’s ‘The Third’ as well as Being Offie Nominated for Best Director on ‘Chummy’ (White Bear).
Alice was Assistant Director and Fight Choreographer on Cold Callers. She is working on Five Goes Killing with Tales Retold as director.
Rich has directed Cold Callers (Amazon Prime) and most recently Faces of the Dead for Tales Retold and his company Funky Sputnik Productions. Rich runs Funky Sputnik Productions and they create, produce and inspire film production from large to small.
Associate Actor/ Writer
John is an Actor and Writer from Leeds. He trained at Drama Studio London. John co wrote Cold Callers (Amazon Prime) and Gold and Silver which is in development.

John Foster is a screenwriter and playwright from Bournemouth. He has published fiction in the Guardian and Spectator, broadcast talks for BBC Radio 4, worked as a script editor, researcher and associate producer in television. He has dramatised documentaries, including a BAFTA award-winning BBC Omnibus on crime novelist Raymond Chandler. He scripted the Patrick Swayze movie Letters from a Killer and is contributor to the award-winning crime fiction collection, Mean Time. He is currently writing for theatre recent productions include: 'Ride (UK Tour), Offie Nominated Chummy (White Bear Theatre) Tree in the Sky and No Exit Reloaded (Theatre N16 and House of International Theatre Copenhagen).' He runs Doppelganger, a new writing theatre company and is the writer of Faces of the Dead which we shot earlier this year.

Carly co wrote Cold Callers and Gold and Silver for Tales Retold. She also appeared in Soliman and Perseda in 2010 a the Rose Bankside.
